hello!

it's been a wonderful but tiring week for me... it's choir practices everyday.. but fulfilling in a sense cos i get to feel the kind of choir spirit.. where everyone, though tired, just continue to work hard.. and care for each other.. reminding each other to drink more water and rest well... sleep early... etc. =D love this team spirit!!! and when things dun work out well, we will all try our very best to overcome the problems! ahaha..

well, the competition is next week.. at genting. we keep talking abt winning and i m just a tad worried about the choir's mentality.. like, do we go just cos we want to win or cos we want to sing well? ultimately it might be the same end, but the means are different. For syf, we keep telling the members not to concentrate on winning but on bringing out the song.. the meaning, the musicality.. and present the art. but i just have this feeling now that things r more of a "we must win this no matter what" kind of thing. to me, music is an art work.. and we being choir members and the conductor work together to convince the audience that the music should be interpreted this way. it's just like piano music.. we play out the music to convince the audience that this is how the music should be played and once u have achieved that, u have sold ur idea to the audience.

music.. yah. i still remember vj choir's encore song... "The Music's Always Here with you" or was it "the music's always there for you"?? haha.. but it's a nice song.. let me find it.. hmmm. ahha. it's "the music's always there with you"

here it goes...:

Every morning will soon turn into evening,
and spring-time will soon turn into fall
Every memory must fade like a passing parade,
and youth become a time you just recall;

But the good times together seem so magical:
Like music that lasts your whole life through;
When it's ended it never really dies away
'cos the music's always there with you

Every new day could be a time of harmony
If people could only be in tune:
All the visions you could share,
magic castles in the air
Seem to fade away and vanish all too soon;

But the magic you share when you make music
won't leave you when the time has come to part;
And it feels like you never have to say goodbye,
'Cos the music's always there in your heart.

lovely song i must say.. and it brings back lovely memories! =]

yupz.. in the mean time, i m still thinking of what bag to bring to genting. trolley or duffer? hmm.
