tremors.
happened at about 2.55pm this afternoon.. i was happily typing away at the computer at VTC, doing data entry. was already feeling pretty tired cos of wad i did in the morning, so when i suddenly felt giddy.. i thought it was just me, then it got really bad, and i sat back on the chair, massaging my temples, asking out loud, "is it me or is the place moving?!" to our horror, someone told us, calmly, "the paintings behind are swaying". then the boss who was sitting behind me at his own computer, looked at me. and we stared at the paintings for a few seconds, and another teacher came out from the classroom... students also felt the building shaking..
die.
the centre was evacuated.
so the ground floor of parkway building was filled with pupils... heh. the boss called up the management of the building.. they called up the police or the civil defence to check.. then they said it's the sumatra earthquake. we waited down there for bout 20 mins or so... before going up again.
it was really an unsettling feeling when we went up there again.. but then everything was alright.. just that some parents did call up and ask "is everything safe?" yea.
heh... and my boss just msged me "i still feel like i m on a sampan... do u?" honestly, i do. haha. really scary.
come to think of it, if the tremors were so great and there were cracks on the building's pillars.. i think i wouldn't want to step into that building again. what we all thought was about the safety of the children there.. making sure that they were all out of their classes...
i shall blog abt the ministerial community visit thingy tmr. nite world.
