think and play. think when u play.

had the masterclass yesterday haha. hm. we were supposed to have 40 mins on stage, that is for the piece and the commenting. but i spent more than an hour. haha. oops. so he mentioned about me playing without thinking. hmm.

ok lah, i saw xinyi, a friend from tkgs with her friends and some other people. and a lot of expats. and piano/music teachers. i was the first item... and i was trying very hard to keep my calm. the duo after me were a bit older than me.. i think thirties bah. the other soloist is my age or younger who is studying in NAFA now. my piece was like 10 mins as compared to the other pieces which were like less than 6 mins or so. it has been such a long time since i have performed or played in front of an audience. ok. er... 4 months. but it seems like a long time and ok, it's the second time i am doing from memory. and it's ten minutes long. but then again, it's just pure incompetency on my part.

lesson learnt: i shall really practise hard.

not that i played like shit or anything (pardon my language), but i think the stress is definitely getting on me. the fact that i am not prepared at all for an exam that's coming in 2-3 months' time.

heh, honestly, i thoroughly enjoyed the experience.. and i know that if i end up doing music it'll be a lot of these experiences. this is what i called LEARNING. :D
