OPEN HOUSE!
i sound like a year 0 who's so excited bout the open house that VJ held... went back today around 1145am only to catch them dancing "friendship dance", which me and eve decided not to join in cos there were too little people and it's too obvious if we had joined in halfway, plus, we've forgotten almost all the steps... and for "i want you", me, tim and emmanuel gave up after a few steps ahha.
TO MY HORROR.... i can't really coordinate my limbs.
so i didn't get to dance mass dance this time round. cos i left at 1.30pm to go tampines changkat CC to help out with the reading programme for 4 year old kids there... more about that later....
ok, let's us all turn back time to the time i was a geeky, tomboyish sec 4, all excited about going to VJ open house, to sign up for carolling with vjchoir. i remembered i went with elaine.. ahah, i think that's the only time i actually walked around during open house, to go to different booths and such. in year one i was running between piano ensemble's booth and choir's.. and in year two i just plonked myself right at the choir booth, only walking to PE's booth now and then. ah wells. and this year, i was at the choir booth, then walked to the hall with emma, and then straight to the PT.. watched the choir... and then back to choir booth and i left.
it'll be the last open house i'll be attending before i leave sg for studies. but then again, it's alright lah. open house only. i still have next year's orientation to go back to dance mass dance haha. i'm crazy.
the reason why i like open house or any huge school event for that matter is because i love the feeling of seeing so many people around! and then u start seeing familiar faces in the crowd, and then u start saying "hi! how're u?" and i just love that feeling.
went over to tampines changkat via cab.... refreshed myself and met up with yvette to get the admin stuff like attendance sheet and the books and progress cards and jotter books. then some student volunteers started coming in. and there were like 6 of them. and there were 8 kids. so there was one "kor kor" or "jie jie" for each kid... and i felt like i didn't need to be there. :) but i still enjoyed myself! yvette read 2 stories, and halfway throught the first one, one girl started to cry for her mother. luckily her mum was outside, so she sat in, and started comforting the child. then after the 2 stories, we got them to draw a house... which was part of the story.. and then we played london bridge and simon says :)
i got myself acquainted with this lil kid named lukas... who had gel on his hair... told me his daddy is in taiwan... asked me why the skin on my leg is peeling... and told me that the purple streaks of lines is rain. and he colours the grass black, and laughed when i said that his grass is "chao ta"... :) he's cute. ahah.
i had great fun today. :) but i'm still not sleepy.
