KC's entry made me reflect.. ahha.. funny description about people who have already started studying for the end of sem examinations as compared to people like us who have yet to really start on it.
but i have started, don't worry.
Funny how I have always been the kind of student to be really conscientious.. was talking to Crystal that night.. and she went.. "knowing you.. you should have started studying liao right!"
heh.. i told her i haven't.. and her comment made me reflect what happened to my studying habits.
Crystal's from my tkgs class.. in tkgs, i was fully involved in choir stuff.. had lots of tuition.. and i had my bit of crushes and stuff... how did i handle all the workload then? with what.. 9 subjects? sigh. the wonder of youth.
if i were in sg studying now, will i be bothered about meeting up with friends? meeting up to study? joining activities? having long dinners? going to friend's room to talk? though people here might think i'm organised.. i do feel a bit disorganised with my work now.. not that i don't know what to do.. but it's just a different feeling altogether.. it's like knowing what i have to do, but sometimes, not knowing what is the best way of going about doing it. it's the huge inertia. which i can't afford to have huh. :) but yes, i have started studying, and i just hope that the info can stay in my mind, and if i can't remember, i have to think of ways to make it being triggered constantly. i am wondering how to organise my notes, my studying schedule.. and still have a healthy balance in life. :)
went to look for Yiingyi in the Commerce Library after an inspiring lecture today... the "Gilbin Library".. it's the quietest library i have been to. hmm. well. ballieu, the main library, is quiet too.. it's just brownless lah.. the biomedical lib, that's so noisy ahha.. cos we always go to the first level, which is quiet discussion area.. and i was just telling my friend.. that goes to show that doctors and other health professional students are talkative huh?! haha :)
talking about talkative. it's my OSCE TMR! which stands for.. "O (something) simulated clinical examination" i think... i THINK.. in actual fact, there's this simulated patient, an actor, whom we're to approach and intro ourselves as first year medical students and whether they mind us talking to them before the doctor sees them.. and assure them about confidentiality regarding the convo... and then start asking them about why they are there to see the doc.. haha.. and then find out about their contextual history.. yeaps. ah wells. gonna talk to other meddies in IH.. maybe ask the seniors about what to do when nervous/stuck..
it's like.. it seems easy? cos it's just like any normal conversation.. but we have to learn how to handle certain issues and to pick up certain cues... and to be empathetic... and stuff. yea. ah wells.
means i have to sleep early to be able to catch all the cues and in the end, summarise the info presented by the patient. AH!
"i believe i can fly... i believe i can talk to them. " haha.. <-- ways to boost ur esteem and confidence..
