oh happy days...

this is one of those days when i wake up and the sun's shining brightly..

isn't it lovely to be able to wake up early in the morning and see greenery?! :) beauty.

"you will when you.. believe.... "... ahah.. listening to "when you believe"... thanks to Pei for "promoting" my blog to erm.. song and crys.. but nono.. anyways!

dining hall was crazily noisy last night, with the second years med students doing their osce practice.. and some of the other students chatting, suaning each other, and after that THROWING a green apple around, and towards the ceiling just to BREAK it. and then suaning poor mabel or something.. and imitating Russell Peters.. ahha..

-exam stress-

if you are a parent, will you control your kid's life? to what extent will you control? do you plan out the whole life for him/her? do you tell him/her "you must do this.. when you finish ur studies and obtain xxx degrees/masters... u can work here... i can arrange for you that... etc."

what say you?

i need to pack my room soon. oh my room. -sigh-

my window sill is filled with letters and postcards... and well wishes for exams... haah... like each time i look up, i see "JIAYOU " from my sis... my name, thank you notes, etc haah :) ah...

okay back to PBLs.

My "Generational Degeneration Model" states that if you look at any person, he is the result of years of moderation and reaction to internal and external influences. Ie: If the parents treated him well, he will attempt to emulate them, otherwise, he will attempt to avoid treating his children the way his parents treated him.

In the extremist view, the child will become opposites to his parents. As the generations progress, the descendants become ultimately more and more extremist, as they sway from one way to another.

This accounts for the various behavioural oddities we encounter today in growing adolescents, that eventually become ingrained as a base characteristic in their adulthood.

In other words, no matter what you do to your kids, the effects are astoundingly long lasting. Try not to screw up.

Cheers!
