just a sniff away really. just that this huge bothersome block that must be attempted bit by bit, snipped off with effort, before the air of holidays reach the nasals.
yet planning for holidays have already started! for one, i have already lined up concerts in dec to satisfy my culture bug in me. rather, the choral bug. being deprived of choral music over here (somehow), i relish in the thought of heading back to sunny humid singapore to bask in the cultural scene there, but, as an audience, not a performer.
and that is one thing that i have yet to handle. that i am, afterall these involvements and training, that i am just. an audience.
i crave for the adrenaline rush and the satisfaction from being on stage, with my now hoarse untrained voice, making music in a group. i'm very much a groupie in this sense. :)
moving on!
holiday plans underway... china seems like a sizzling hotspot for many for this coming hols, all wanting to explore the unexplored or, to have the first taste of what modern china is like. heading off to shanghai and the surroundings with a much needed hol with the family has been confirmed while the ever so gungho bf is planning a trip to yunnan with his 'chiong-ing khakis'. hearing him tell me about the adventures he might be having made me envious yet i know that i will not attempt it by myself. aha. what with going to lijiang, xishuanbanna, all those south china places... thank goodness his khaki is from china.
and will i have the chance to see what medicine is like in the developing countries? that is one thing that never really thought about. that medicine is really not just about the everyday disease in the city... for the every disease in other countries might just be so much more lethal. wonder whether i'll get the chance to experience such diversity. elective year maybe? :) botswanna? africa? or even just nothern territory of australia with the royal flying doctors :)
dreaming. is a sign of impending holidays. and also, a sign of needing sleep!~!! :)
