pig-chures.

okays pictures that were long over-due. procrastination kills obviously, thinking about the amount of time i have to put in to caption the pictures, upload them... etc. so here they are! :)

Day 1:

the 2 rented cars... Mitsubishi Lancers. waiting for the 3rd car to come over here on the highway while 2 cars stopped for a mid-morning snack ie Maccas. that's cos everyone got on the wrong highway while yours truly pointed out the mistake... :)

my passengers!!! fion (my trusted navigator), jeanette (our photographer), siaohui, me and haoern (thorn among the roses/rose among the thorns...) this is Cape Peterson, one of the lookouts along the scenic route from Wonthaggi (which weiyong keeps pronouncing as wongathi) to Inverloch.
without the drivers, there'll be no passengers right? so at one of the lookouts (forgot the name) we took a photo... me, weiyong and irvin (who drove the BMW)and of cos the funny pictures that were taken along the way: with courtesy of MZ's butt.

and after lunch, a long drive from Walkerville... Waratah Bay Caravan Park! This is home to 7 of us... all 4 girls, weiyong, jiakai, zhenhong. the other guys slept in the other cabin.
and we rushed to the beach (next to the cabins) right after we unloaded everything! Day 2:

Wilson's promontory National Park: Drove down after the guys got some lunch from Yanakie. First stop: Cotters' Lake. first animal spotted: a kangaroo grazing in a field of crap.

and after waiting for the rain to stop, we drove up to mt oberon summit where it was too windy to do any walking, and drove down to the another carpark and went on this walk: Tidal River overlook.
group photo from jeanette's camera which was hanging on a tree branch :) coolness!
and wells, blown away (almost) by the strong wind!
and the sun after the rain: :) at Tidal River... (at this point, jiakai and weiyong both ran off to another lookout, literally... because we were running out of time and they really wanted to explore more... and they were rewarded with great sights! no pictures in my comp will get it off them soon :))
and after that, back to the cabins for dinner and a much awaited rest :) drove in the night for the first time :)

Day 3:

left the caravan park, and headed towards Sale. but of cos, the cars needed food. i love this photo taken by jeanette. haha :) so sei. and... female drivers save petrol! :)

so after that it was a drive down to Port Albert. This port was established in 1841... beautiful quiet town. really quiet :) just us making the noise... :)
then it was off to Sale, took our cabin keys, and drove all the way... after lunch, to Lakes Entrance. omg was it a long tiring drive. rewarded ourselves with ice cream after that! and a long walk in the late afternoon awaited us :)
this is taken on the beach at the Entrance. This is where water comes in to form the system of lakes in Gippsland.

dolphin-watching! we were so enthralled by wildlife dolphins and a sealion that we spent close to an hour just sitting there and waiting :)
and er, pressured by time, we wanted to take a loop back to where we came from and obviously got lost. =x jiakai, andrew and weiyong led the way, followed by the girls and the rest of the guys grumbling behind us. haha.

here is how it looks like. bushwalking :)
and the entrance by the night :) An Italian Dinner was our food of choice that night as we treated ourselves to a better dinner. went back to the cabins (which was much nicer than the last 2 nights'- no photos though) and showered, some people went to take pictures of the stars... while i, being really dead beat, slept.
Day 4: Sale back home.

Went down to Seaspray, Golden Beach.. all parts of the widely acclaimed 90 mile beach. pretty endless looking i must say. and so we got tired of looking at the beach.. though there were some dolphin sighted along one stretch too :)
more group photos!
and that pretty much highlights the end of the 4 day trip. ended up back in Melbourne way before time because one car forgot to stop on the way so we had to keep going on. Reached Glen Waverly for dinner, it's a mad place to park over there during diner times i believe. had jap food and then it was off to IH... :)

great weather (last 2 days), great company, great experience :) didn't feel extremely relaxed during the holidays cos of all the driving (and the stresses) heh but it was great taking the mind of studying.

Gippsland! rather. will definitely go Wilson's Prom once more. camp overnight if possible. :)
