what does one eat when it's cold --> soup....
having bought the yong tau foo pack ($2.50 for 10 pieces of 'stuff'), and a pack of dried glass noodles, i initially wanted to prepare a dry dish of fried 'guo tiao' with yong tau foo. but heeding the advice of jo, i decided to have soup instead. hee hee. was a happy girl after rushing dinner and going off to rehearsals!
and since my sis has so very nicely commented that i should take over the cooking for the household... i just had to post up the picture of the yong tau foo meal i had! :)
that aside, this week is going to be a draining week. but all's exciting nonetheless! first production by MSO chorus as its new name... under the wings of MSO and not as Melbourne Chorale. first rehearsal last night with the Bach Choir (London) and maestro Oleg was quite fustrating as similar mistakes keeps reappearing. the ah mas were saying how the bass soloist looks very fierce, like straight out from the Russian mafia or something. and everyone's tired from trying to keep up a lot with the speed! not sure whether Bach Choir's chorusmaster David Hill was happy with how a lot of changes were made... but i have to say that the additional numbers in basses did add the weight...
with such a huge huge group... everyone has to WATCH the conductor closely. some of the MSO chorus members were fustrated with the repeated similar mistakes. urgh.
in any case, it's a great great experience. tonight will be a rehearsal WITH the orchestra. oh man. i wonder what it will be like!!! O_O
