well, so after the 'terrifying' experience of Mt. Wellington, we decided that we should head to the hotel to check in. i thought it was a simple motor inn (cos that's what it was stated) but to OUR surprise, it was a lovely room with a kingsized bed!!! :D so we started taking photos haha.2. the view of the harbour... victoria dock?
3. from Elizabeth Pier
4. our meal from Mures lower deck bistro.. fish and chippery!! :)
5. St David's Park in Hobart.
6. us buying time at "Retro" a cafe along Salamanca Place
7. some more boats...
8. Our last meal in Hobart! whoa. it really wasn't joking when they claimed that they have the best fish and chips in Australia! fish was sweet. even the calamari was flavour-ful without being oily AT ALL. !!! i would fly back to have it.
9. us at the airport :)
So before we went off to Tasmania, we had a couple of days with a rented car so i thought i'll bring my mum around Melbourne a bit. other than going to chadstone, i brought her to mornington and along the coastal line of Bellarine Peninsula. i didn't know they have fish and chips (thats quite tasty).. hee so yeah. we caught the sunset at the st kilda pier too.
Then i took mum, joseph and yingyi out to yumcha at taipan... where they weren't all too impressed (as i was, sadly)...
then the last few days were filled with walks to city, to everwhere... and we even saw a lot of parrots???? and i brought her to squire's loft :D really lovely weather that gave us such a wonderful time to spend outdoors :) now that we're both back to our supposed way of life, it was a bit sad to not have someone walk with you everywhere (since everyone's busy with their own things).. but having time alone is still nice.
through the time she was in melbourne, i only wanted to show her that my life is good and i'm happy the way i am. yes there are areas for improvement and i will improve... but given a choice, it is how i want to lead my life. it may not be the same as how she did, but i know that whatever i do it is because it is important to me. and there's no photos of my mum cos she asked me not to put online!! haha :)
time for tea!
