2+2=4

the Easter break went by in an eye shut. I was so happy that we all got a week break in the midst of our hectic overwhelming semester that demands full committment to being learning and application. It came at a good time when most of us were trudging our heavy footsteps along. So while the Easter break proved to be a mind-numbing (literally) experience, but as zhuan said, it's a rejuvenating one.

was feeling a bit lost at how to start and get the engine going again with this huge amount of inertia going on. so much mental work involved and soon, we'll get into the swing of things again - morning rounds, tutes, presentations, meetings.. but i'm sure with the tide, we'll be fine!

i have no soft copy of any proper photos while jo came over for a fleeting 4 days visit, but with the time we had on our hands, i think that was all that we could do. i did wish before he left that we had more time, but there's many people for him to catch up with, people whom he doesn't get to chat on a regular basis.. but it was good to have my bestie back to explore melbourne together. we finally went to APTE. it's a cafe along the road to austin and we both pass by that place everyday of the week when travelling to and fro austin hospital. he's been wanting to try it since 4th yr and i've been wanting to try it after lynn gave me a taste of their cookie! so.. right after his arrival on thurs morning we went over and were both pleased with the service and quality. :D we shared a big breakfast between the 2 of us and they have very kindly separated into 2 plates!! so in the collage that is like.. half a serve of a normal big breakfast plate a customer gets. so worth it! :)

there's heaps of eating and driving going on these 4 days. he's only been gone for 4 months but it felt like a long long time. but we had fun visiting places we've visited before, catching up with friends, and exploring new grounds. baby Ethan is a joy! just 2 weeks old and such a little bundle of joy! seeing how his grandma takes care of him so lovingly made me wonder about how much the motherly love is passed on through generations.. and made me wonder where did such love come from?

miss marples was a must-visit for the boy who loves his vintage/old-school things.. of cos catching up with lovely wise ladies was a huge bonus :) i think it made everyone very happy just sitting there and chatting with lunch, scones and tea and a HUGE sundae.

drove down to daylesford and hepburn springs just to see what was there and the autumn colours were amazing. it's the spa country of victoria and would DEFINITELY bring my family when they come again for a visit :) some mineral spring place.. we didn't do much research, only just drove there, see see look look and take in the autumn sights. so pretty though the place. :D such is life!

so that's the highlight of my easter break. :)

11 more weeks to holidays! hee
