get the zest back guys.

went down to siglap south cc this evening to visit the place i spent the bulk of my weekends at during JC and after JC... the memories of all the hard work, the fun, the laughter, the tiredness... i miss everything i had before over there...

i hear the sound and i want to be part of it. but i know that with the choice i have made, i cannot be part of it for a very long time. though i know that i will always be part of it (in some ways) but i know it is different. and i know that. i've never been good at making friends and maintaining friendships... especially when i need to break the ice. so i can't be 'buddy-buddy' with everyone. but i feel at home still being there with them. and it pains me to see them so tired and dissatisfied after the session.

what happened to all those chill-out sessions that they had after practices? has the dynamics changed? where is the unity that was there that brought us to such great heights then? was it the youthful spirit that has now been worn away by the working world? or has the energy worn off... with sian-ness?

i wish to be part of this team that sings and tells the story of the song to audiences. a choir who sings not for themselves, but for the music. but right now, there is something holding the potential back. it is hidden. and it needs to be unveiled soon. for i want my friends to feel the euphoria of doing well again. and not end each practice, planning aims but not getting them. get together and work efficiently. the worst thing that can happen is to see everyone so sian after practice...

aren't we suppose to be a family of singers? and not.. individual singers?

jiayou. victoria chorale. it's cliche to us. but no man is an island. i believe that u guys can do it. it's not a chore. it's our common passion. and have fun with serious work done. and most importantly.. don't give up trying :)
