life...

have been wanting to post something about life in general but my mind always goes blank when i set myself in front of the computer, thinking of how to put my thoughts down and type it out on screen.

we all change. and we all surely have changed in our small or obvious ways, and the only people who notice the change will be your family and your friends who have walked with you through the years. sometimes the change is jarring, at other times, it is (duh) subtle. but what makes your friends want to keep in contact with you after all these years that you have changed? what makes some friends stay with you through the years and yet some don't?

(what i'm going to write next has nothing to do with my own life... so don't read into it! :) )

relationships. fragile they are. people try to piece things back after it is broken. after the girl gives up and can't be bothered anymore, but what good will it get? when distance plays a huge part in this. how can a person be looking forward to someone's return suddenly not feel anything when she'll be in sg from the next day onwards? hard to say huh? things change so fast. so quickly that u wouldn't know when it will hit u hard enough to make you realise that you have always been on the wrong path. what's with guys then? a close friend of mine just told me "we flirt flirt.. but end of the day go back to our girlfriend/wife... okay what"... is it really okay? so how do we choose our partners? a physiology lecturer once told us.. it's via assortative matching. a friend tells me it's a compromise, that we have no other choice now... what is it? :)

and to people out there in doubt of your feelings... don't fret. for as the chinese saying goes... everything will take its own course. we can't control and hence worries do no good. i guess what we can all do is to concentrate on the present. worry about the future inexcessively.
