*jumps for joy*
came back from Gowri's friend's recording studio in southbank. He's a sound engineer and we're guinea pigs (in a way).. and he needed to record people singing (i guess). so as last minute as the notice was, i gave up going for National Night and went over to Gowri's place at 4pm! rehearsed for about an hour before heading down with dinner on the way and started singing.
omg. it's so distressing... how to not sing together? and just sing individually? hmm challenging... but the whole experience is humbling.. and i realised that my voice does sound bad recorded. baah. :(
and wells, just a thought tonight: what is growing up? and i guess my answer lies as follows:
- to not demand, but understand and reach a compromise. for example, not to request for freedom but slowly gain the understanding why you are not given the freedom as you want and accept it instead of demanding it from people who loves you lots.
- to know who you really are, not from what people tell you to do but what you really want to do, to be.
- to love, show love... not to your newly found interest but to people who have supported you and loved you through your life... ie, your parents
- i guess, to be someone who gains respect from who they are and what they do, both at home and socially....and shows respect to others as well
- to be aware of emotions of others and not be caught up with your own emotions/needs..
