i'm finally in london, where i've always wanted to be. where i've dreamt of studying at, touring the place, indulging in the culture and the architecture and the history.
and now that i'm here after a 13 hour flight, which i've survived!! (it's not that bad afterall!!!!!!) sat down at starbucks with a hot chocolate... the cold slowly getting to me, waiting for my dearest sister to arrive... and yay! :) saw her with her specs and all :) got onto the tube, got to central london and got to her quaint little apartment. :D
winter is COLD. and london is really a CITY. liike. not much greens. just buildings and buildings. and people. i think it's the same everywhere i guess. city life. city landscape. buildings. how much greenery you want to have?
so after a brief shopping trip to Argos to get the airbeds and all... came back home and i napped. haha. she went to cook! (YAY MY SIS COOKED FOR ME!!!!!!) and i must say it's pretty good stuff! ;) proud of her! :) then sat down to watch a bit of tv... then it's her turn to rest now!
i think i have not done justice to my last few days at home, feeling a bit moody and selfish. just felt settled in sg, then need to pack up and leave for London... travelling alone and all. instead of feeling thankful and excited i did not feel anything and probably did not show much enthusiasm for anything. yet once i touched down in London i felt a sense of excitement... it's not a burst of energy, rather, a sense of novelty. i think i'm getting OLD. and maybe taking travelling for granted.
so with a semi-renewed sense of exploration, i shall take on London! :) thoughts on having the chance to see all the musicals i can!!! WHEE! :) and all the flea markets and just basking in the London grey skies ;)
such is life.
all thanks to my wonderful parents who readily sent me away ... even though i know they would really much rather me stay at home with them during this holidays...
muack. loveyou two!
and also to mr lo who's going to cambo... all the best! :D be safe and will want to hear about ur experiences soon! we have... 1.5 months to go!
