as the heat dies down...

super glad that the heat has finally gave way to the cool cool air. I can finally stop perspiring through the night! was wondering WHY there was this scorching feeling last night when i went to bed, only to realise that everyone else felt the same! no idea how hot last night was but was very glad that the cool change came this evening.

so after about a week or so of REALLY REALLY hot weather (it doesn't even get this hot in singapore!) i fell sick. and to my friends in melbourne. again. i don't understand why i keep falling sick, nor able to find the source. is it due to working in the children's? or am i just TOO WEAK? not enough fruits?

the weekend saw a few of us going to our ex-med-IH tutor's engagement party. after about a year of speculations whether they are together, and since i don't go around asking nor hang out much with him... news came (on facebook) that they are engaged! super happy for him and was glad that i was invited to my first ever aussie engagement party :) with lots of asians of cos. haha. melbourne is like an aussie australian place sometimes. but it was goood! no alcohol, just juice/soft drinks/water... had fake champagne, lots of biscuits and FRUITS. what more to expect from a couple who are doctors right? so other than catching up with lots of ex and current IHers, it was also an eye-opener. they had their close friends share about what they are like and how they have seen the two get together and all, and then how henry made a fool of himself and sang a song really off-tunely but we all admired his courage nonetheless, then they both gave 5 pointers (and more) about relationships and what not... and then they had their pastor to pray for them. it was a lovely remembrance of their walk together so far, and will be a great start for their walk together from now on! yay to their wedding in october!:) can't wait to attend :)

can't believe the uni will be having easter holidays next week. ahh. i want my holidays. but i also want to make full use of the time i have! ah! such contradictions.

and as my mum flies over how i wish i can be there with them all and just chill! europe in spring! how lovely will the parks be! :)

that's another point to blog about next time. till then, life goes on. writing, analysing, thinking. :) duties of a research student.
