so! yes i'm still alive. busy with work actually. been talking about how free i was before, and now it's getting close to having to rush stuff now... but thankfully still managing to handle it well :)
visited a friend today who's going to give birth soon! quite amazing, seeing how huge her tummy is... in a way they are the first friends whom i know who are going to enter the parenting stage! come tuesday, baby's coming out!
approaching the last couple of months in RCH.. a bit sad that i won't be walking down the corridor to OTs, anaesthetics offices... the neurosurgical wards.. but on another hand i cannot wait to start clinicals soon! yes it will be tiring, yes it will be draining, yes it will be a long race requiring much stamina and patience to go through, but it's still something that really enables us to learn, to apply knowledge and to carry those knowledge for the rest of our lives..
when people ask me why i'm here in melbourne studying medicine, sometimes, it's really hard to give an answer. it really seemed too easy a process, that i ended up here. and why medicine? why at the forefront of healthcare? just a thought that comes to my mind at this hour of the night.. am i ready to come to term with life and death? just one mistake that anyone makes in this career is enough to cost someone else's life.. others have done it before, and it somehow doesn't seem too uncommon to NOT happen. when will it happen to me? hmm.
ANYWAY... all's good in all aspects of life... couldn't ask for more... :) pretty contented with the way things are for now... shall blog more another time.
meanwhile, take care everyone :) email me if you can!

in a way, i feel that you've been given a special privilege to serve the public/world in that manner. and i believe u might even be surprised at just how one little difference can cheer them up or make a big difference in their lives. it's really sth fulfilling.
so go out there and enjoy it girl. don't worry about the mistakes you'll make. everyone does them. even i've made tons of mistakes with the bloods and cannulas. but the patients are still so endearing.
so take it all in and enjoy the world of medicine my dear friend =)
