it ain't necessarily so

had an eye-opener at the state theatre last night with weiyong, xing, kenneth, eels and tim. i guess we were too ignorant and did not realised that we got ourselves into a modern opera. so when the first character (clara) opened her mouth and sang with such lightness and vibrato, my eyes widened and so did Xing's. the rest of the act was done recitative and i saw the resemblance between the classical opera and this Gershwin's.

and so instead of broadway musical we immersed ourselves in a night of jazz opera :)

the week has been great, with its ups and downs, received the results of my first class test, which was worth a meagre 3.75% yet cramming was much needed. went with Yingyi to the Faculty of Commerce's scholarship and prize presentation night on tuesday as she was awarded a subject prize :)

weeks seem to fly pass nowadays... and my thoughts never seem to be put properly in words when I want to. baah.

gonna head down to vic mart soon with Yingyi before coming back home to spend some quality time with THOSE NOTES.

will post up some photos soon i guess :) and so... HAPPY 21st YINGYI :)
